Mamadou Fall Kane is the Energy Advisor to the President of the Republic of Senegal and the Deputy Permanent Secretary of the Strategic Orientation Committee of COS-PETROGAZ, a steering committee under the authority of the President in charge of coordinating and monitoring of the development of oil, gas and hydrogen in Senegal. Mr. Kane has been actively involved in final investment decision-making for oil and gas projects as well as in major reforms related to the energy sector. Mr. Kane is one of the leading Energy experts on the African continent.
He joined the office of President Sall in December 2012, as the Advisor to the President in charge of Economics, Finances and Investments. He gained valuable experience at the Treasury Department of the French Ministry of Economics and Finances on issues related to financing the economy and industrial restructuring. He also gained experience at the World Bank and the investment Banking branch of the Credit Agricole Corporate and Investment Banking in Paris.
He graduated from Sciences Po Paris before completing his education at Ecole Polytechnique of Paris in Economics and Public Policy.
